Do I Need A Passport to Travel to Antigua?

Yes! All U.S. citizens are required to present a valid U.S. passport when traveling to Antigua, as well as proof of anticipated departure from the country.

Note: According to the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Postal Service, processing of U.S. passports can take up to 6 months.

WILL I NEED TO HAVE TAKEN A COVID-19 TEST BEFORE TRAVELING TO ANTIGUA?

Yes, effective October 1, 2021, all arriving passengers must have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR (real-time polymerase chain reaction) test for SARS-CoV-2 using a nasopharyngeal or oropharyngeal swab taken within four (4) days or fewer of their flight. Children below the age of 5 years, entering Antigua, ARE NOT REQUIRED to have a COVID -19 RT-PCR test.

WILL I NEED TO TAKE A COVID-19 TEST BEFORE TRAVELING BACK TO THE U.S.?

Yes, all air passengers coming to the United States, including U.S. citizens and fully vaccinated people, are required to have a negative COVID-19 test result no more than 3 days before travel or documentation of recovery  from COVID-19 in the past 3 months  before they board a flight to the United States.

For your convenience, Royalton offers the viral antigen test on site at an extra cost. Note that the results can take up to 72 hours to be delivered. Please book your test appointment through the Guest Services Desk upon check-in to secure a time for testing within three days of departure.

I'M NERVOUS ABOUT TRAVELING ABROAD DUE TO COVID. SHOULD I OBTAIN INSURANCE?

When you book directly with Royalton Luxury Resorts, you’ll be eligible to receive free health assistance during your stay. After booking, you will receive a link to register with Royalton’s chosen health assistance partner, MAS SERVICIOS, prior to check-in to be covered for any medical emergency, including COVID-19, from the moment you arrive until your departure. Coverage will be forfeited if you fail to register before check-in.

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE TO THE RESORT?

We recommend all guest arrive to the resort no later then Thursday, August 11, 2022. This will guarantee  stress-free participation in all of our planned events.

WHEN SHOULD I RESERVE MY ROOM AT THE ROYALTON?

NOW! Guest should reserve their room at the Royalton.  There are no Group rates. The resort is fairly small and rooms are limited so please book your room as soon as possible.

DO I HAVE TO STAY THE THE ROYALTON ANTIGUA RESORT & SPA?

Guest are not required to stay at the Royalton during there stay in Antigua.  However, if you choose to stay at another location, you will be responsible for a $90 resort fee.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? IS THERE A DRESS CODE?

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire.  Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.

WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE THIS TIME OF YEAR?

On average, August is usually the hottest month of the year for Antigua. During this month, the average temperature for the island is 85 degrees. At night the temperature may dip slightly to 75 degrees.

WILL THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION BE INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?

The ceremony will be held in an unenclosed outdoor space while the reception will be held on an outdoor terrace with overhead coverage.

ARE THERE OTHER WEDDING EVENTS I CAN ATTEND?
